Snowmobile
Tug Hill near the Adirondack Mountains is the snow capital of New York State and receives more snow than any other place east of the Rocky Mountains. Each year, this location gets an average snowfall of 200-300 inches. Tug Hill is known for some of the finest snowmobiling in the United States. There are almost 500 miles of groomed trails winding through dense woods and wide open spaces.
Our cabin is easily accessible in the winter. Knotting Pine is located on a corner lot, and we have a seasonal road which leads to the snowmobile trail system (Trail Marker C41) and a paved road that is well maintained. Our driveway is plowed with plenty of space for parking.

There are plenty of trails to ride in Tug Hill, NY. On the ATV trails, you will find plenty of places to stop for food and beverages along the way.

Hunting and Fishing
If hunting and fishing are your go-to activities, Knotting Pine is an ideal location. Just up the road you will find Fish River Reservoir, a great place for trout fishing above or below the Dam. Salmon River/Reservoir is also only a 30-minute drive away. Surrounding Knotting Pine Cabin, you will find yourself surrounded by plenty of ponds and streams with a wide variety of fish.
